Greeting to y'all and happy to share with you yet another blog.And so proud of everything going on in my life and patiently waiting for even more amazing things to come.
Last weekend I transpired to be part of a great event that happens every year to create awareness on Breast cancer and I would say it was an event of a lifetime.





The event has over the years help raise fund to provide financial support to cancer patient and survivors more to that provide information and care kits.






The initiative is doing such an amazing work spreading information on how we can avoid cancer.
The issue of lowering the risk of getting cancer for example.

  • Living   a healthy lifestyle
  • Knowing Family history
  • Being physically active
Going for early screening & most importantly funding for more research is really important to everyone in this day and time. Over the past years, we have lost so many people to cancer and now, everything we need to is finding a way to prevent it and that is; tirelessly creating awareness.






It was such an event to learn about those people who have battled cancer hearing their stories,  in a really special way as we got to dance to good music, dining and vastly get to dress up and rock the runway, I mean doing this kind of staff in a really fun way is so special because we get out bold enough to talk about cancer and also empowered to speak up that cancer is not a curse or either contagious as most communities view it. Cancer experiences are so overwhelming and finding happiness in the simple things is much important.



Having such campaign and organizations coming out to hold such events and sensitized on these deadly diseases is going a long way.






Also taking time for self-care is very significant and worth it.
As women, we tend to be concerned more on the most expensive makeup or latest fashion or even explore the finest destination yet we forget so hard to care for our health which is more important.

This has been a really beautiful jorney as I am only going to understand these interesting social problems as I will be able to split them down but also be able to explore them and also implement effective action to solve them. SAYDS equip youth with systems thinking skills for creating and implementing effective solutions for lasting social change and very step of this journey to become a system thinker has been phenomenal.  The amazing SAYDS team guiding us on every step of the way and equipping us with knowlegdge necessary to tackle challenges having impacted alot of participant and still going on to do the same every year. Well, hello lovelies. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve logged in to chat here, life lately has been super hectic, super busy to be precise. This year has been whimsical in so many ways.  Hope you've had a great start of the month, as I am writing this in the morning of the beginning of september, I is the start of the month, Its a gloomy day as I look out of the window. LOOSEN YOUR GRIP

This thought keeps coming at least twice or thrice a day and each time, it hits me right in my center. I never saw myself as someone with control issues. I am very much a live-and-let-live kinda girl for the most part. I let people do what they want to do and respect everyone having a choice to live their life how they see fit. What I've never taken note of was how in control have to be all the time. Emotionally to feel comfortable and safe. I wasn't controlling others or trying to control my environment, I was controlling myself.  POLICING MYSELF. I was holding so tight to my emotions that my knuckles were turning white. I needed to loosen my grip. I needed to learn to let go of the emotions so that my hands would be free to hold purposeful things.
