KENYA'S LARGEST THRIFT MARKET EXPERIENCE/ BEST PLACES TO SHOP FOR CLOTHES/ THRIFTING TIPS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Image
Apart from the crowded state of Gikomba , the muddy roads even when it's not rainy. My thrifting experience started when I was in college. A friend introduced me to the place and I couldn't believe how cheap everything was. From bags to shoes, it was such an amazing adventure for me. I fell in love with the place and definitely started shopping at Gikomba . Being in college whenever I got some few coins I would find myself here, and to top it all, a business grew out of me. I remember people asking where I got my outfits, bags or shoes and most of them besides admiring they were willing to exchange them for money. I couldn't take chances, and so I started purchasing more and more stuff, and sell them to my colleagues. You would find me in the early morning hours going through the piles of clothes and waiting for the bales bags and shoes to be opened and that's how I would get (Kamera) best quality second-hand clothes, to sell to my peers, that's how I earned m...

HOW TO GET YOUR CONFIDENCE WHILE POSING FOR THE CAMERA

Image
Hello, lovelies! As much as I run a blog and take pics every now and then, most of the time confidence doesn't come easy and I had to work on it. I have always had the desire to take pictures everywhere I wanted to, and most of the time I looked shy and uncomfortable, however,  I decided to grow my confidence so I can take pictures wherever I felt like. I know this is one of the issues that most bloggers or even anyone of us who want to take a good pictures has gone through or even trying to get over with, and that's why I decided to share with you a few tips on how I got my confidence. 1. Move around - This helps yourself to get some action and also become less nervous, the picture can absolutely look more natural when you're moving around. Try to move your hands, hair, hips and twirl if you like. 2. Hold something  - When you have your phone in your hand, pretend to use it, if you have your handbag hold it in a cute way. When I hold something when taking a p...

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO ON VALENTINE'S DAY

Image
A day to celebrate love, eat some chocolate and even snuggle with someone special (if you are lucky),  or even making plans for the weekend with your friends. I know it's such a trite to say that I love valentine's Day, but I also believe we should also celebrate love every day. I love the whole mood that comes with it,  flowers everywhere, almost everything in red and pink, people are allover happy and in love,  people getting gifts and in all, I can't help the smile in everyone's face. Depending on your point of view of what valentines should be, I believe Valentine's day is a day to spread love, show affection to the ones you love and hold dearly or indulge in an awesome dinner with your closest friends. As we approach Valentine's Day, today am going to share a few important things you should do on valentine's day. 1. Plan a date that is out of the obvious. 2. Find a different way to say "I love you" 3. Dress in a way that expres...

HAPPY TWENTY FUN TO ME

Image
Hello, my lovelies!! I just turned a year older, 24 years old, oh yes! And there's no denying it's fun, I can feel the transition, unlike older ages that comes with responsibilities,  paying the bills, and taking care of family, I have decided to make this year the best life, take advantage of the freedom and opportunities that come with it. As time moves on, am looking forward to doing what I love career-wise and do what makes me feel fulfilled. More importantly, the meaning of life can obviously be whatever you choose it to be and for me, life is all about happiness and love and taking situations in a more easy way when you take things easy, life becomes wonderful and enjoyable. I am planning to take more trips on my own and discover places and learn about cultures and the world in general, I realised travelling helps me discover more about myself and helps me wander outside my comfort zone. Being independent on my Twenties, am just willing to spend money on me...

In honour of my 24th birthday which is coming up this weekend. I decided to share with you a few facts about me, so if you have read my previous blog (IDENTITY BLOG PART 1) I shared that this year I will be sharing with you a few things about me so this is part of that. Writing this took me longer than I anticipated, remembering all this and even listing them down was harder than I had imagined, but am glad I finally feel like I have shared as many facts about me as possible and probably haven't been able to write them all. So shall we start? 1. I love to journal - I literally journal about everything 2. I would consider myself an introvert and an extrovert - I don't know if you can be both, (lol can you?) because I love being around people but I also like being to myself. 3. I love cats - Growing up we had a cat, we have always owned a cat at home and I have developed some really great love for cat and later on life I would love to own a house with cats. ...
