MY BIRTHDAY IS ALMOST/FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

In honour of my 24th birthday which is coming up this weekend. I decided to share with you a few facts about me, so if you have read my previous blog (IDENTITY BLOG PART 1) I shared that this year I will be sharing with you a few things about me so this is part of that.
Writing this took me longer than I anticipated, remembering all this and even listing them down was harder than I had imagined, but am glad I finally feel like I have shared as many facts about me as possible and probably haven't been able to write them all. So shall we start?





1. I love to journal - I literally journal about everything
2. I would consider myself an introvert and an extrovert - I don't know if you can be both, (lol can you?) because I love being around people but I also like being to myself.
3. I love cats - Growing up we had a cat, we have always owned a cat at home and I have developed some really great love for cat and later on life I would love to own a house with cats.

4. I love you go thrifting - When am looking for particular pieces to add to my wardrobe, I go for staff that are really on low price, I get to find some really beautiful stuff that you can't even imagine. I don't mind squandering money on expensive. But trust me the low price section has even better outfits.
5.I'm totally against pineapple on pizza.

6. I am shy - I'm a bit shy person, most people tell me so
7. Growing up I hated sports - In school and even later when I was in college I never played any sport, I was never active in school games, I am now a very active person and I love athletics. I do a morning run and participate in marathon and so proud myself for that.
8. Am a faithful churchgoer - I was brought up by a Christian mum and going to church is a top priority on Sundays no matter how busy you're.
9. I love to read and write - Reading has always been my hobby, so is writing, I wrote for a local newspaper and later decided to start this blog because I had so many ideas I had to let out of my head.



10. I was, and still am a commercial model - I love expressing who I am and modelling has given me a platform to do that, and my blog as well. I have featured in a TV commercial as well as magazines, my dream is to be featured in more magazines and Billboards and more TV commercials.
11.I'm such a planner -  I love to plan my things in advance, my to-do-list is always full of things that need to be done and I have found planning ahead really helpful.
12. I love funny characters because I love to laugh. I like to be around people who make me laugh.
13. I love to travel - My dream is to travel around the world and enjoy every second of it.


14. I love avocados - sounds funny but it's absolutely true, I can eat it with anything from breakfast to dinner and never get tired of it.lol
15. I don't like public speaking - (yeap!)Public speaking is one of my worst fear, though am trying to get rid of it, as one of my dreams is to share my experiences with young people so as to encourage them and help them continue working towards their dream, I can't do all that if am afraid right? so am trying to overcome the fear.

16. I would love to vlog one day - As am still a little bit of a shy person and I don't like to talk to a lot of people I don't know how vlogging is gonna happen, but am still trying to work on them.

Early last month i was able to become a certified System thinker under SAYDS program which equips young Kenyan youth with the necessary skill to understand serious complex issues and howw to solve them. This has been a really beautiful jorney as I am only going to understand these interesting social problems as I will be able to split them down but also be able to explore them and also implement effective action to solve them. SAYDS equip youth with systems thinking skills for creating and implementing effective solutions for lasting social change and very step of this journey to become a system thinker has been phenomenal.  The amazing SAYDS team guiding us on every step of the way and equipping us with knowlegdge necessary to tackle challenges having impacted alot of participant and still going on to do the same every year. WHERE DO I BEGIN? + theres alot to uncover

Well, hello lovelies. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve logged in to chat here, life lately has been super hectic, super busy to be precise. This year has been whimsical in so many ways.  Hope you've had a great start of the month, as I am writing this in the morning of the beginning of september, I is the start of the month, Its a gloomy day as I look out of the window. I have the idea of writing on the website but i keep postponing to another day. So I wake up and decide to write it before i get out of bed. LOOSEN YOUR GRIP

This thought keeps coming at least twice or thrice a day and each time, it hits me right in my center. I never saw myself as someone with control issues. I am very much a live-and-let-live kinda girl for the most part. I let people do what they want to do and respect everyone having a choice to live their life how they see fit. What I've never taken note of was how in control have to be all the time. Emotionally to feel comfortable and safe. I wasn't controlling others or trying to control my environment, I was controlling myself.  POLICING MYSELF. I was holding so tight to my emotions that my knuckles were turning white. I needed to loosen my grip. I needed to learn to let go of the emotions so that my hands would be free to hold purposeful things. I let go of my grip on my emotions and now I can love, laugh, learn, heal, grow, knowledge, friendships, and the list goes on.
