CAMPING AND HIKING AT MT. OLOLOKWE, SAMBURU
We headed to Nanyuki route, took a few photos at the Nanyuki Equator and curio shopping, then headed for a briefstop over at Cedar mall for breakfast. Looking around you would see a clear view of Mt. Kenya, such a pleasure to be on.
Our last stopover was at Buffalo springs, this one was much needed, we cooled down at the Springs and took plenty of pictures.
We finally got to Sabache camp, which is located at the base of the mountain evening, we began to pitch the tents as the chef prepared dinner, We took dinner by the campfire in preparation for the early morning rise.
We were set for the trails at exactly 3.00 AM, our guide leading the way, the trails follow elephant and cattle tracks, the guide took us in a really comfortable pace, he encouraged us to have a one minute rest to drink water and have our energy bars. you would see a really nice glimpse of the stars at this time quite magnificient.
I'd say Mt. Ololokwe is officially my best hike so far one is because of the views at the summit (sunrise)....they were magical to say the least and the fact that the hike started at 3:30am which was an exciting first for me. I hiked with @Solivetravel on Instargam, quite an incredible experience.
Thank you for stopping by ya'll. Till next time bye!!
