FIVE THINGS TO DO IN NAIROBI THIS EASTER/ HOW TO SPENT YOUR WEEKEND EVENING IN THE CITY PART 1
Hello lovelies!! Am back again with another owesome blog, as am trying to navigate my style of sharing my travel experiences, I hope you are enjoying the ones I have shared with you so far.
Well, well, well this weekend I found myself feeling bored and thought maybe I should take a trip to the city and have a little adventure, which I did, and the experience ended up to be so much fun. Here are some of the places that i visited.
ARCHIVES
I know its not just me, but many of us have never been here, so I got in without knowing what to expect. If you love to learn about culture, history and politics as well, the Archives display arts of our history as a country and helps understand and get a clear understanding of the country's history.
The Kenya Archives takes you back in time. there's much knowledge to take in about different cultures, origins of different communities that define our African roots.
It took me an hour or so to go through the whole exhibition.
NAIROBI NATIONAL MUSEUM/SNAKE PARK
This place offers a memorable day tour. The museum is super rich, offering great biodiversity research and conservation as well as the snake park which is a home of many snake species.
MAASAI MARKET
Weekends are maasai market days in Nairobi just right at the High Court Parking lot. You can get pretty much anything from accessories to home decor and even clothing etc
KENTATTA CONFERENCE CENTRE {KICC}
When I got to the entrance I found really friendly security guards, you have to present your ID or passport, then explain where you are going and why [just say you've gone to see the view from rooftop]. one of the guards then showed me to the reception where I payed.Once you have payed and given a ticket you are directed to the elevator, then you'll have to show your ticket once you are out to the guard who now allows you to go outside, then follow the spiral stairs that will direct you to the incerdible view of the city.
SHOPPING
Well, if you like shopping like I do, you can pop in a few shops and buy clothes or shoes from Mr. Price or if you are a thrifter Budget Thrift or Thrift Me.
Thats all for today, A big Thank you for checking in.
i have been in Nairobi all my life but i have never visited this places, will definately visit soon
